Rachel Stange is a graduate of Baylor University. She began her career as a reporter for CBS affiliate KWTX News 10 in Waco, Texas. In 2006, she relocated to New York City becoming an associate producer for CBS News. During her time as a journalist, Rachel has worked with such high profile news organizations such as: CBS News, Entertainment Tonight, LOGO and CBS Entertainment. She is also a two time Telly Award Winner for her work as a writer and producer.
Her passion for theater led her to make a career change to a job at Broadway press office Boneau Bryan-Brown. It was while doing press for Broadway that she became fascinated with taking works from the page to the stage. She now works in the office of eleven time Tony Award winning producer Jamie deRoy.
Rachel is also the lead producer of a new musical Esther, The Heart of a Queen making its regional debut in Houston, Texas next fall. In film she is a producer on the documentary Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age. Other producing credits include: Chasing Jack (Lead Producer: Jerry Orbach Theater, NY) The King's Speech (London’s West End) and Godspell (Broadway). She is a member of the Drama League, The League of Professional Theater Women and TRU Career Producer’s Team.
She is also a board member of the Abingdon Theatre Company in New York.
When Rachel isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her husband Frederick and her greatest productions Alexandra and Catherine.
